Square dancing is a natural fit for a family reunion! The hands-on interactions of the easy dances is a great ice-breaker for relatives who may not know each other very well, and the community dance tradition reinforces the feeling of unity and interconnectedness of the family. The dances are easy enough that everybody, of all ages, will be able to do at least some of the group dances. And of course I will work with you on seeing that any family business that needs time (dedications, acknowledgements, stories, and so forth) gets taken care of – the dances are there to use when you would like, to help you make your event a success.
